The Financial Services Program Accounting Payment Office is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Accountant. This individual will serve as an integral team member in support of the Company's billing services for Classified programs and will interact and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be located in Falls Church, VA - working remotely is NOT an option.

Candidate must have the ability to obtain Government Top Secret/SCI Level clearance to support Classified programs (if not currently active).

**_Roles and responsibilities of the Accountant will include (but not be limited to) the following:_**

+ Interfacing with internal and external customers.
+ Prepare, review, and submit highly classified customer billings for compliance of contract terms and conditions and established department policies and procedures.
+ Maintaining and overseeing collection of aged billed receivables.
+ Miscellaneous accounts receivable reporting and resolution of payment issues.
+ Monitors cash collection for government contracts and forecasting goals, including supporting banking and treasury requirements.
+ Analyzing unbilled balances.
+ Coordinates canceling funds and contract closeout efforts.
+ Supporting DCAA incurred costs and billing audits.
+ Special projects as needed.
+ Ability to work on site at our office in Falls Church, VA

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors degree and 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting or Master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience in finance or accounting
+ Professional experience must include: Billings, Accounts Receivables, or Contract Administration teams
+ Drives continued success by finding and communicating opportunities for efficiencies, process improvement, and/or automation of processes, in support of the Company's digital transformation initiatives.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite - specifically high-level Excel skills (including: the ability to insert pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting, etc.).
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain Government Top Secret/SCI Level clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Active Government Top Secret/SCI Level clearance.
+ SAP experience
+ Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS.
+ Professional experience in a regulated industry: to include Aerospace & Defense, Financial Services

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
