The Role

The Agility Training Lead, Vice President is a partner that understands how products and teams need to improve and has the experience/skills to support this improvement. The Agility Training Lead will introduce enterprise Agility education roadmaps, build Agility knowledge content, kick-start education efforts, lead workshops, collaborate with Agility partner areas (Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Tech Leaders, Delivery Teams, Finance, Controls, etc.), and drive overarching Agility education uplift to continuously adapt and evolve the organization. The Agility Training Lead will focus primarily on Product, Technology, Data, Design, and Partner leadership Agility training. While there may be some Agile Team level training, this will be less frequent.

The Agility Training Lead will be a part of the Card Agility Office. The Card Agility Office is a collection of Agility leaders who will partner with the Chase Card Services leaders and teams across Product, Technology, Design, and Data in improving delivery practices in a healthy and sustainable way. Our goal is to help the organization deliver more consistently and with higher quality while keeping a focus on customer needs and the employee experience. Agility is a means to this end, Agility is not the goal.

  • Own and effectively manage Agility education roadmaps and programs from ideation to implementation
  • Work with Scrum Masters, Trainers, and other Agility Leaders to integrate modern Agility practices across all levels of the organization and increase organizational effectiveness and delivery - including with process enablers (Risk, Compliance, Portfolio Management, Metrics, Reporting, and other partner teams)
  • Operate as an internal consultant to build relationships across the organization to gain deep understanding of stakeholder needs and collaboratively design problem solving content
  • Proactively identify, understand, and design education approaches to address impediments caused by current ways of working
  • Utilizing broader experiences and adoption patterns, the Agility Training Lead helps the organization and Agile Teams grow and progress in a sustainable way
  • Partner with leaders across the Chase Card Services organization to address systemic challenges and local optimizations that hinder end-to-end effectiveness and collaboration
  • Exhibit a deep-passion for continuous learning and provide knowledge gained throughout the entire organization, beyond the team and line of business, and facilitate classes, workshops, and sharing events
  • Influence others to pursue improvement opportunities, implement a recommended course of action, or accept recommendations/ideas
