Essential Functions
PURPOSE & SCOPE:
This air filter test technician position will play a key role in the development of new filtration products. This position is responsible for the testing of various forms of air filters. The air filter test technician will operate and manage various types of testing equipment. Filter types include; gas turbine filters, HVAC filters, automotive filters, cabin filters, etc. In addition, this position will require the ability to operate general fabrication equipment, hand held electric tools, and mobile electric lifting devicesPRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires the ability to follow strict standardized testing protocols. The position at times requires the ability to develop new testing methods and configurations. The technician is expected to report findings accurately as the course of actions of projects are dependent upon test data.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Extensive experiences in following detailed procedures.
Basic mechanical skills that include; assembly and dis-assembly of mechanical components.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Understanding of accurate measuring equipment that includes; manometers, pressure gages, and various types of electronic sensors and data acquisition tools.
Strong interpersonal and team skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
Familiar with industrial safety requirements that includes; chemical handling, LOTO and use of PPE.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associates degree in related field.
3-5 years of experience in testing, quality inspection, following procedural processes, R&D or related field
Previous work experience in a strong safety culturePHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Technician will perform general hands on work in the air filtration lab and must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
