In this position you will be a key member of the global business development team for the Food Business Unit. You will report to the Global Business Development Manager. Your work and ideas will form the basis on which our team strategy is developed and executed. In the BDA role, you have the opportunity to directly impact business development and results, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy being an integral part of the Industry leadership group.

The ideal candidate will work out of the New Orleans office, is flexible to regularly travel, has a creative entrepreneurial mind-set, has a high degree of curiosity paired with strong self-initiative, is team-oriented and possesses integrity and professionalism.

  • Identify and prioritize top business growth opportunities. Use creative and practical thinking to develop a strategy for effective pursuit with high sensitivity to customer value and market reality.
  • Support Regional and Global Account Team business planning. Develop strategic goals and objectives. Create business cases to help with institutional sales
  • Understand customer process economics, applications, KPIs, and the related Intralox value to those customers.
  • Provide research and analysis to develop new applications/ products/services & develop strategy for bringing them to market.
  • Ensure that the sales team understands and can easily communicate Intralox value propositions. Work with Marketing to drive key messages into the market.
  • Provide business reporting and analysis to monitor progress of critical initiatives & to identify areas for optimization.
  • Develop business cases, paybacks & other tools for customers to accelerate closing business.
  • Facilitate the breakdown of the complex into its most essential elements to accelerate business progress, planning & in general decision making.


  • Minimum College Degree, ideally in Business or Food Sector. MBA/Training in economics or financial analysis a plus
  • Proven work experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Management, Project Management or Financial Analysis
  • Energetic and well organized with exceptional communication skills, curious in nature
  • Ability to evaluate and effectively pursue strategic sales opportunities
  • Strong team player, self-managed and proactive with a demonstrated sense of ownership
  • Excellent use of excel and other analytical tools
  • Credible; able to develop strong relationships within a team and with customers
  • Able to work with products which are used and customers who make their living in the meat, poultry and seafood processing world.
  • Able to travel to customer sites (approx. 30% travel) & team meetings. Higher frequency travel may be required during the first year of training.
