General Description | The Continuing Education Department is seeking a part-time instructor to teach the CIFFA Certificate in International Freight Forwarding. This course will prepare students to sit for the CIFFA exam. The course materials have been developed by CIFFA and will be provided to instructor. Required knowledge, skills and abilities include: Supply Chain Management creating, managing, tracking and optimizing a supply chain; the role of the freight forwarder within the supply chain, modes of transportation (truck, rail, air, sea), understanding of freight and warehousing operations, freight rates, transportation routes and related geography, cargo loading/unloading, cargo insurance and claims, international payments, applicable regulations, transportation and commercial documentation and related customs procedures, and more complex transportation solutions. |
Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities | Responsible for all classroom instruction. |
Education Requirements | Bachelors degree in business, transportation and logistics, supply chain management or similar. |
Experience | Candidate should hold the CIFFA Certificate in International Freight Forwarding, preferred |

Physical Demands and Work Environment | This positions duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled. Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Some travel required. |

Terms of Employment | Continuing Education courses will be held at campus locations in Cranford, Elizabeth, and Plainfield. Must be available during weekdays. Weekend and evening opportunities may occur. |
