**Description:**
**Providence St. Joseph Health** **is calling a** **Data Services Product Owner** **to our location in Beaverton, OR.**
We are seeking a Data Services Product Owner to be responsible for the acceptance and prioritization of work for this Agile Team. The Data Services Product Owner will be focused on working with business stakeholders to identify and plan data management related projects to be assigned to the Data Services Team. The Data Services Product Owner has an important role in defining quality and is the only team member empowered to accept stories as done. This role will need to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, work collaboratively with Program and Solutions Management and the Investment Management Team for release planning. Represents the Data Services team within organization and broader Providence system.
As an IS caregiver, the Data Services Product Owner is expected to possess an understanding of the Providence Health Plans and Information Services goals and strategies.
**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**
+ Possess subject matter expertise and sufficient market knowledge to understand customer and stakeholder wants and needs.
+ Manage product backlogs with priority decision that mitigate risk and maximize value while showing steady progress towards forecast results.
+ Manage backlog content consistent with priorities agreed to with key stakeholders and customers and minimize frequent priority order changes.
+ Provides a visible forecast and notifies stakeholders and customers of any significant changes in effort or risk.
+ Collaborate effectively with Scrum Master and scrum Development Team.
+ Engage team, customers, architects and stakeholders to collaborate in release planning.
+ Inspires commitment by communicating clear vision, direction, purpose, and goal for each release and sprint.
+ Understand and represent the interests of customers and stakeholders such as: customer services, sales, IS Leadership, executives, etc.
+ Engage and solicit customer and stakeholder feedback to validate priorities and compromises.
+ Constructive Conflict Resolution.
+ Effective planning and forecasting in spite of the inevitable uncertainty and unknowns.
+ Understand and apply Agile and Scrum principles, values, and practices.
+ Balance new feature delivery with high quality software while minimizing creation of additional technical debt for sustainable software development.
**Qualifications:**
**Required** **qualifications for this position include:**
+ Bachelor's Degree OR 8 years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
+ Managed care information services experience.
+ Agile team member or coaching experience.
**Preferred** **qualifications for this position include:**
+ Experience in using Lean tools, leading/participating in Kaizen.
+ Expertise in PHP business processes and information services.
+ Certification in Product Ownership.
+ Health Insurance background highly preferred.
