AWS has the most services and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider€“from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases€“to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. AWS Platform is the glue that holds the AWS ecosystem together. Whether its Identity features such as access management and sign on, cryptography, console, builder & developer tools, and even projects like automating all of our contractual billing systems, AWS Platform is always innovating with the customer in mind. The AWS Platform team sustains over 750 million transactions per second.

The Open Source Amplify Framework team is continuously innovating and expanding our mobile and web framework to enable developers to quickly build, deploy, and manage native, web, and hybrid apps.

We have a vibrant open source community on GitHub with contributors and customers across the world. Our customers are passionate and communicate in GitHub issues, as well as our vibrant Discord community. We need to support our customers when they open feature requests, bug reports and pose questions in the many places our customers expect us to be. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is working to change the mobile and web industry; we are moving from a Mobile First to a Mobile Only world where we aim to enable millions of people to enrich their experience with everyday mobile experiences.

You will be responsible for supporting the Open Source Amplify Libraries (iOS, Android, React Native, JavaScript, Flutter) which helps eliminate the friction and complexity of developing mobile and web apps on AWS. Our mission is to make it easy for mobile and web developers to get up and running quickly using AWS services even if they are unfamiliar with them, so they can focus on building great innovative front-end experiences for their customers.

We are looking for Developer Support Engineers that enjoy solving problems, working with customers, and have excellent programming skills in one or more programming languages. Our Support Engineers work with AWS customers on GitHub, Stack Overflow, Discord and other developer community sites to help them build on AWS. We are the €œvoice of the developer€ inside AWS and have work within product teams for recurring issues or feature requests.

A successful candidate will be someone with solid coding skills who is customer focused, and who can multi-task and utilize both written & verbal communication skills to help our diverse range of customers resolve their technical issues.

As a Developer Support Engineer you will be involved in the following activities on a day to day basis:

· Ensure timely communication and driving technical issues towards closure.
