Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an entry level **Engineering Technicians** to provide support to our **Test and Research Area** team at our **Promontory location** with occasional duties at our Magna location ((8400 West 5000 South, SLC)

**Role description & Responsibilities:**

Successful candidate will perform energetic sample setup, assembly, manufacture and configuration of energetic articles in support of multiple developmental programs. This includes working with energetic materials and the fabrication and assembly of energetic articles. Candidate will be required to review, and implement test plans, drawings, specifications and planning in support of various development projects. Skills needed include strong working knowledge and experience in majority of the following areas: sample fabrication and installation, operation of specialized operating equipment and tooling, handling operations, and safe use of various chemicals and bonding compounds. Implementation of continuous improvement using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles will be required. Job function requires use of standard computer skills.

+ Must have good communication skills
+ Must have the ability to understand and communicate technical information with clarity Must have demonstrated discipline to follow detailed instructions and comply with procedures.
+ Must be computer literate and a working understanding of MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ The following are desirable but not required

o Experience in set-up, fabrication, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
o Demonstrated ability to receive and follow specific instructions from procedures, prints, planning and supervision.
o Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.


**Experience Requirements:**

Associate degree in technology/instrumentation/electronics or Navy Missile Technician training. Strong technical background in and mechanical systems
