Environmental Engineer/Project Manager

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Engineer/ Project Manager to join our team of professionals and work remotely in one of many offices including Cincinnati or Columbus, Ohio.

The Environmental Engineer/Project Manager will contribute technically in the areas of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting, preparation and review of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and other technical experience you bring to this role.

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have diverse experience in a variety of industry sectors. Therefore, a broad understanding of how to implement NPDES and SPCC for multiple industry sectors will be a benefit. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, prepare proposals, manage projects and project teams and develop new business opportunities.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

+ SPCC plan preparation experience at complex sites.

+ NPDES permitting experience, preferably in multiple states.

+ Other multimedia environmental compliance experience.

+ Experience managing small to large environmental projects and project teams.

+ Experience mentoring project teams and junior staff.

+ Travel in and out of state may be required.

Required Education/Experience

+ Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Environment, Civil, Chemical) or a relevant environmental field (geology, environmental science)

+ Diverse experience with a strong emphasis on NPDES permitting and SPCC plan development.

+ Proven communication skills (verbal, written, proposal, and presentation).

+ Multimedia environmental compliance experience.

Desired Education/Experience

+ Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering or related engineering field, Geology, or related technical field

+ Registration as a Professional Engineer is desired

+ Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record
