Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled **Field Technician** to maintain our Combat Electromagnetic Environment Simulator (CEESIM) Electronic Warfare product line in **Melbourne, FL** . The Field Technician installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

The successful candidate will have a background in the operation and maintenance of RADAR, or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, or commercial digital and RF equipment, or other electronics background, and will have experience testing, troubleshooting and performing repairs with minimal supervision. Knowledge in the proper usage of RF/Digital test and Linux/UNIX.

The person selected for this position will be required to undergo training at the Northrop Grumman site in Buffalo, NY for two to four months prior to working in Melbourne, FL.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ 6 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree in a technical field plus 4 years of relevant experience; or U.S. military electronic school in electronic warfare and/or radar plus 4 years of relevant experience.
+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
+ Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50 lbs.
+ Current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Associate's degree in a technical field
+ Security+ Certification
+ U.S. military electronic school in electronic warfare and/or radar
+ Electronic Warfare and/or RF experience
