SAIC is seeking a Field Technician III in Chesapeake, VA!

Job Duties:

Act as company engineering representative.  Motivated individuals wanted for the installation of electronic and support equipment aboard US Naval, Coast Guard or MSC Vessels.  Will be required to work independently, part of a team, or as a team leader to perform installation tasks demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to identify and resolve installation issues.  You will be tasked with reading, interpreting, and working from technical data, test procedures, schematics, arrangement and block wiring diagrams.  Your  written and verbal communication skills must be strong enough to effectively communicate with co-workers, managers and customers. Additional work will include redlining and/or maintaining documentation such as engineering drawings, system configuration management documents, conducting on-site installation troubleshooting, inventory control and documentation.



HS plus 5 years or Associates plus 3 years experience. At least 2 years experience with US Navy shipboard installs; Connector certification in CAT-5e, CAT-6 and MIL-C connectors (fiber optic certification a plus); must be able to lift 40 pounds; must currently have a Confidential clearance at minimum and ability to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance.
