Join the team that launched the first-ever Amazon physical retail store! The Specialty Retail Stores (SRS) team applies Amazon€™s 20+ years of e-commerce experience to build physical stores that integrate the benefits of offline and online shopping. It is very much still day one for our team, and we are looking for entrepreneurial, analytical, creative, flexible leaders to help us make our physical stores a place that customers love to shop. If you want to join a fast-paced, innovative team that is making history and breaking new ground for Amazon, this is the place for you.

We€™re hiring the Format Leader, Amazon 4-star to help steward this young chain of physical stores through its next phase of growth. Amazon 4-star first launched in 2018, and grown to over 24 locations across the US, with more to come. The Format Leader plays a key role in the SRS organization as the single-threaded owner of Amazon 4-star responsible for the customer experience and the overall format business model. As the Format Leader, you will own goals focused on driving sales, enhancing the customer experience, and continually improving store and overall network profitability. You will work closely with teams such as category management, product management, real estate, marketing, merchandising, operations and store design to drive the vision for the 4-star store experience and scale the business.

The ideal Format Leader is comfortable and effective operating on both strategic and tactical dimensions, approaches problems with a multi-faceted approach, and is energized by problems that require learning and invention across business functions. You set and drive a clear vision for the future of the format, with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving long-term value for Amazon. You are responsible for driving decisions on a range of strategic priorities and resource investments, including real estate strategy, in-store space allocation, store design priorities, and the prioritization of business and technology innovation.

The right person for this role is someone with a high degree of ownership who enjoys building, testing and iterating, exceptional curiosity and analytical thinking, and a high bias for action. You have a track record of exceptional performance and love working in a dynamic, ambiguous, fast-paced environment in which managing multiple projects and priorities is the norm. You are an articulate, persuasive communicator and an excellent writer. People trust and respect you and value your partnership. You love to Invent and Simplify and have a track record of delivering results.
