Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineering to join our team in Roy, UT.

This role will function as the Lead Mechanical Engineer for the RS Team in the evaluation of the design of the RS mechanical structures.

Includes the testing and validation of those designs. Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

**Qualifications:**

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline plus 9 years of related experience; 7 years with Master of Science degree; 4 years with a PhD

+ Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 10 years of experience with ICBM Weapon System or Aerospace programs is preferable with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
