Essential Functions
POSITION SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, is accountable for the preparation and coordination of payroll for all EMAM domestic locations. Is responsible for various functions including coordination with Corporate Payroll for payroll schedules, and creation of required payroll reporting to authorized personnel.CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. In accordance with policies and directives, is responsible for the preparation of payroll. Reconcile, calculate and transfer compiled payroll data for corporate processing
2. Acts as subject matter expert for time and attendance system, LMS and payroll systems.
3. Work directly with corporate payroll and the Finance department to resolve any payroll discrepancies. Serves as point of contact for Corporate payroll personnel for all payroll issues.
4. Compiles and computes statistical and other payroll data to include various special earnings and deductions. Adjusts payrolls as directed for overtime, military pay, special deductions, adjustments, etc.
5. Input all employee changes including terminations, transfers, personal information and wage adjustments. Generate F-95 forms, and other forms as required. Calculate and generate wage sheets for all changes.
6. Generate hourly and nonexempt monthly reviews including nonexempt wage authorizations.
7. Prepares various payroll reports to include weekly headcount and monthly HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, retention, etc).
8. Maintains all information and material in a confidential fashion. Responsible for the retention of payroll data and files, both electronic and paper.
9. Prepares summaries and outlines of special payroll summaries and reports requested by management.
10. Coordinate garnishment information served on employees directly with Corporate.
11. Records employees disciplinary actions, monitors and provides attendance reports.
12. Performs other payroll and accounting duties as required e.g. data reports, special projects, corporate requests.
13. Is responsible for proper application of established job and wage administration policies including all federal and state wage laws.
14. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
15. Assist in HR dept policies, practices and procedures; as well as assist employees with HR concerns.
16. Is responsible for calculations and upgrades for any mass changes for all locations, e.g. general increases.
17. Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly labor reports for management and finance.
18. Conducts and participates in annual wage surveys.
19. Participates on HPT and Starpoint teams.
20. Assist with budgeting process.
21. Continually looks for and implements process improvements within payroll processes and related Human Resources activities.
22. Prepares termination paperwork and conducts exit interviews.
23. Keeps Human Resources department informed of any and all payroll changes.
Qualifications
Required: Associates degree with course work in business subjects and two years experience in payroll or Human Resources.Preferred: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Finance or Business Administration with three years experience in Human Resources.
