**Description:**
**Providence is calling an IS Organizational Excellence Director PSJH to our location in Portland, OR; Redmond, WA or Irvine, CA.**
We are seeking an IS Organizational Excellence Director PSJH to be responsible for ensuring the success of any and all programs and projects within their purview with focus on organizational excellence. Working collaboratively with all levels of operational and business leadership, they are also primarily responsible for the management of key stakeholder relationships. Program Director is responsible for the delivery, planning and execution from discovery and assessment to execution, go-live & go-live support of key initiatives focused on evolving the organization culture, behaviors and structure to support our long term strategic goals. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring PSJH executive leadership is kept engaged and informed on the progress of each program. To ensure the success of their program(s), Program Director works collaboratively with multiple members of the project team(s)- including directors in HR, Finance, organizational development, and all areas of IS and RESO (Real Estate Strategy and Operations). The Director is accountable for working with and facilitating processes to accomplish complex program objectives, managing change and resolving issues that span across project teams and departments by planning, organizing, directing, and supervising program activities in a cost-effective and productive manner to achieve organizational goals. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals on complex issues where analyses of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables.
The Program Manager Director ensures projects related to the program are planned and executed in a manner that supports the PSJH Mission, and supports integration and collaboration across the health system while meeting the organizational objectives.
**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**
+ Advise, consult, and managing a number of complex projects under a common objective at PSJH under a single program (or across several programs) designed to support PSJH IS/RESO to achieve strategic goals and initiatives through organizational excellence.
+ Works collaboratively with HR and IS RESO executive leadership and a number of keystake holders across the organization.
Strategic Functions:
+ Partner with HR and other key stakeholders to map out the as-is and to-be strategic multiyear organizational strategy and implementation plan
+ Design and drive specific initiatives around organizational culture, this include reward and recognition program with focus on the behaviors that are essential for organizational success including cross group collaboration, growth mindset, patient/caregiver experience focus, etc.
+ Partner with HR and the IS LT to establish a key talent pool and setting up forums and activities to nurture and grow talent in a consistent way across the organization.
+ Partner with HR to ensure consistent and effective execution of promotions and career advancement opportunities for key talent
+ Design and implement activities that help us drive integration across groups, focused on creating alignment/collaboration
+ Promote and seed/support grass roots engagement around mission and caregiver engagement activities.
+ Provide change management expertise and support to the organization leaders.
Management Functions:
+ Proactively and independently manage stakeholder expectations for timelines and deliverables throughout the project/program lifecycle with little/no intervention from IS Strategy and PMO leadership while directing and guiding others to do the same at the appropriate levels of their program.
+ Define the structure and governance needed on a complex program(s) to develop and gain sponsor approval for project delivery dates.
+ Manage portfolio programs with very high complexity, strategic priority and/or visibility.
+ Engage and organize the assignment of activities of multi-functional, large-scale teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.
+ Set the standards and structure for all project/program professionals to manage scope, risk and issue management, including documenting, communicating and facilitating resolutions or mitigation plans with little/no direction from PPMO leadership on their program(s).
+ Set the standards and structure for all project/program professionals to proactively and independently develop, initiate and manage a communication plan, including regular program status reports.
+ Manage stakeholders and multiple project teams in the context of a single or multiple program(s) with little/no intervention from leadership.
+ Act as a coach and mentor to others, especially (but not limited to) other project management staff, leaders, project leads, and other stakeholders.
Operational Functions:
+ Direct and guide others to pro-actively and independently develops root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
+ Direct and guide other project and program management professionals to maintain all program artifacts and sets the standards for other program/project management resources on the program(s).
+ Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership, management, and stakeholders with little/no support or intervention from PPMO leadership.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
**Required qualifications for this position include:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
+ 10 years Information Services/Information Technology and/or Healthcare Industry experience.
+ 8 years experience in the project / program management field.
+ 5 years experience with resource management.
+ 1 year relevant PPMO portfolio experience (eg. EMR, Business Applications, M&A, Infrastructure, etc.).
**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**
+ Master's Degree.
+ ProSci Change Management Practitioner, upon hire.
+ PgMP (Program Management Professional), upon hire.
