Essential Functions
Leads the IT organization in defining the (FY) roadmap and master plan to support the strategy and goals of the organization. Responsible for working with IT functional/departmental executives and business leaders to create the overall master plan for IT.
Develops and manages a formal PMO, including but not limited to:
o Formal Project Management methodology
o Tools & Templates repository
o Project prioritization process
o Portfolio & Project Management Executive Level reporting
Coordinates & assists Project Managers in setting up new projects, including:
o Validating reasonableness of schedules, resourcing, and budget
o Working with the Project Manager to define testing, training, cutover and failover plans
o Working with the Project Manager to create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
o Setting baselines and reviews monthly
"Spot-check" or audits existing projects, as required.
Facilitates Lessons Learned sessions upon project completion.
Mentors, Coaches, and Directs Project Managers.
Serves as a backup on major projects, as required.
Develops Project Management Training Programs, including:
o Developing training materials and repository for training materials
o Training Directors, Managers, Project Managers and other IT and business resources on Project Management practices
Develops and manages a project dashboard and reviews with IT functional/departmental executives on a periodic basis.
Communicates IT Project updates at the Executive Level.
Participates in the employee interview/selection process of IT employees, contractors and trainees. Trains, evaluates, and communicates with assigned staff.. Work with employees to correct deficiencies. Implement discipline as needed.
Responsible for leading business analsysis activities and initiatives for the IT department, including:
o Translating business requirements into functional specifications, as well as managing changes to such specifications
o Working with IT team to ensure requirements are met
o Collaborating with developers/testers to ensure requirements are understood and test plans are complete; ensuring traceability of testing to requirements
o Serving as IT business analyst for the IT organization, as required
Provides insights into maturing the Business Analyst practices at SPD.
Various tactical tasks, as required.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

This position is accountable for planning on all projects assigned. This role also ensures that all projects follow a solid methodology positioned to achieve success and Executive Management has good visibility into all projects inflight.The IT PMO must have a solid understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.This position reports to the IT Division Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 3+ year experience in a Team Lead/Technical Lead or Application Development Manager role.
Experience working with business stakeholders to translate business issues into technology solutions, and vice versa.
Has Program Management experience.
Is very hands on and willing to step in and lead projects, when necessary.
Is able to challenge, lead and develop the team.
Demonstrates leadership and acts as a change agent within the organization.
Constructively challenges to generate open minded thinking. Minimum 8+ year experience in information systems analysis and project management.
Positive attitude dedicated towards achieving results for the team; progressive thinking skills, strong work ethic; problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under stressful conditions and coordinate the completion of multiple tasks simultaneously.
Project management principles.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to influence and manage change.
Must possess a solid business sense to analyze IT viability and strategic vision.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Develop project time lines and identify project tasks and procedures.
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Analyze and assess the technological needs of all sites for the Division.
Manage customer relations and expectations.
