Job Details


The Lead Office Assistant works under the direct supervision of the office manager. The primary responsibility as the lead office assistant is to train ensure smooth work processes to maintain optimal effectiveness and efficiency of operations and serve as the main resource for clerical staff. Additional duties include insurance eligibility patient registration and reconciliation within the patient registration software properly entering patient demographicsas well as greeting patients while answering the phone lines. Also responsible for taking appropriate phone messagesscheduling appointments creating referrals printing encounter forms providing information to and for the patients maintenance and upkeep of the reception area distributing mail and assisting other employees as needed. The office assistant also identifies corrects and reports compliance insurance and billing anomalies as they are recognized.


Education: High school diploma with emphasis on clerical courses or equivalent preferred.Experience: Experience in a doctor's office preferably, some knowledge of coding and insurance helpful.
