Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Space Systems Group is recruiting for a **Manager 3, Operations** to join our team at the **Bacchus, UT** facility.

**Job Description:**
Position has direct leadership responsibility of the NG and Ingredient manufacturing activities at the Bacchus location. Ensures safety, quality, cost management, and production schedule objectives are met.
The successful candidate will;
Oversee the day-to-day Nitro Glycerin (NG) and Ingredients activities which are accomplished through subordinates (Shift Supervisors, Operation Team Supervisors and Operators).
Work with VSET leads, Engineering, Production Control, Quality and other internal and external contacts to resolve issues real-time.
Direct development and implementation of PES objectives within the NG and Ingredient area to improve safety, reduce costs and assure product quality.
Ensures strong and open relationships with senior leadership, employees, support groups and customers.
Shift work will be required.

**Qualifications:**

**Education:**
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years related experience. Prefer experience include direct or indirectly managing people.

**Skills and Qualifications:**
Successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with and satisfy internal and external customers and suppliers was well as a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
Successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Presentation skills and ability to clearly communicate initiatives plans and expectations. Computer skills to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Pilgrim.
Candidate should have a demonstrated commitment Northrop Grumman business Code of Ethics, the ability to lead others, build teams, and create an environment of continuous improvement using Lean Mfg. principles.
Propellant and NG manufacturing experience including knowledge of supporting systems to include; AHOPS, DOD4145.26M, MM&IR, OPCB, Bomis, Applicable Safety and QA procedures.
Demonstrated skill and initiative in resolving personnel conflicts and personnel performance problems/issues.
Experience in quality systems and quality management (AS9100/ISO9001)
Demonstrated success in managing competing priorities.
