Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Facilities Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified diverse individuals in Palmdale, CA

What you'll get to do:
Supervisory or management responsibilities for leading the facilities project team in requirements gathering, statement of work development, construction project management, project budgeting and expenditure forecasting. You will develop creative solutions to support over-all site strategy, including ability to provide concept projects/solutions with estimated costs and schedules.

+ Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.
+ Oversee and provide direction to the team in the completion of facilities construction projects and is responsible for facility lease maintenance activities to government landlord.
+ Supervises planning, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, structures, and other facilities maintenance.
+ Gathers and reviews data from end-user/customers or Program facilities requirements, budgets, schedule requirements and specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
+ Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
+ Review and authorize Change Order activity and other contract activities relating to construction and facilities modification and rearrangements.
+ Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
+ Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and maintenance installations progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, cost and schedules requirements.
+ Build teamwork among staff, key clients and related support and oversight organizations to ensure a productive and successful organization.
+ Ensure safety and construction best practices are being followed and executed according to design and code parameters.

**The selected candidate will have a customer-service focus and should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and must have the ability to manage a number of competing priorities concurrently.**

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' experience managing facilities or construction projects, programs and operations; OR Associate's Degree with 7 years' experience managing facilities or construction projects, programs and operations; OR High School Diploma/GED with 9 years' experience managing facilities or construction projects, programs and operations will be accepted in lieu of degree.
+ Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
+ Understanding of building codes, safety requirements, and other regulatory facilities or construction requirements
+ Experience with cost and schedule, schedule analysis and critical path analysis.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret or Top Secret security clearance and special program access as required.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Active DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance
+ Experience supporting government contracting/DoD facilities.
+ Experience with a new-build and stand-up and of new facilities.
+ Experience with management of multi-phase design contracts, major project construction, and complex system commissioning.
+ Excellent communication, organization, and presentation communication skills.
+ Bachelor's Degree STEM in Industrial Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Plant Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering
+ Experience directing an engineering project management team within a work environment of divergent demands and input.
+ Familiarity with aerospace office, lab, warehouse, manufacturing/production equipment and facilities infrastructure
