Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) currently operates a 57,000 square foot facility that serves as a consolidation point for logistics planning and material consolidation services for multiple programs.
The Customer Asset Management (CAM) Logistics and Property organization is looking for a self-guided, self-motivated Operations Manager for the Nashua, NH facility with excellent customer service skills.
The Nashua Operations Manager will report to the CAM Logistics and Property Product Line Manager and will be responsible for the daily operations of the Nashua facility, providing guidance and direction to the program and functional support teams to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.

The operations manager is responsible for all aspects of the Nashua facility operations and will guide a team that will support program planning, material receiving, stores, material control and fulfillment, kitting, property, packaging, shipping, transportation and freight management.
The operations manager will also be responsible for all facility, security, safety, compliance, training and proposal support requirements and will manage multiple cost center budgets in support of the facility. Daily interface and coordination with CAM organizational administration, Site Logistics Management, Program Management, Security and Mission Assurance is required and is a key element to the results of the entire operation. The Operations manager is required to ensure staffing is appropriate at all times and develop operational metrics. Overseeing of all cost centers and budgets is required.

The Operations manager is required to be on site at the facility for this position. This position requires close interface with CAM Program Planners and Site Logistics Key team members to provide resource and capacity planning and recommended logistics & asset management solutions.
The person in this position will represent CAM in meetings, program reviews and Gate reviews when required.
This person will also work closely with CAM organizational administration to help develop and deploy functional strategies to strengthen process efficiency and accuracy throughout the Logistics process while addressing continuous improvement. These strategies must be compliant to Government regulations and in accordance with CAM and Raytheon policies and procedures.
The operations manager will provide performance and career development guidance and will foster a highly collaborative team environment while developing and maintaining a high level of morale within their team.


Required Skills:

8 years previous related experience

On-site at the facility is a requirement of this position

Must learn, understand and care for the Self-Liquidating Cost Center budget; Previous experience in managing budgets

Demonstrated effective track record of managing, coaching, developing and mentoring team members.

Superb communication and intrapersonal skills, leadership abilities, proven negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment

Must have prior, demonstrated experience managing in a logistics and property environment with personnel management and administration

Effective ability to choose critical path for large projects and prioritizes actions for alignment with program/customer needs

Collaborative motivation skills and the ability to affect improvement in a cross-functional environment

Thrive and multi-task in a high speed, rigorous environment that requires quick responses and a high degree of flexibility

Exceptional critical thinking skills that quantify the impact to functional organizations in terms of quality, cost, and schedule

Must be able to help develop and monitor key performance measurement (metrics) while maintaining defined Service Levels, and prepare various Logistics reports in support of internal, government, program and organizational requirements

Experience and effective follow through in writing, supporting, reviewing and approving Proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOE) for logistics and asset management functions in support of program pursuits. Must become BOE developer certified within first 6 months in this role and learn ACES to systematically approve BOEs

Responsible for developing strategies to address continuous improvement and organizational best practices, identifying and analyzing logistics process deficiencies and providing solutions to address a variety of complex inventory, warehousing, shipping and scheduling requirements

Knowledge of government contracts and FAR rules and regulations. property experience

Excellent computer skills are required in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to learn the Inventory Management System and monitor the functions utilizing metrics

Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Occaisional Travel may be required


Desired Skills:

Raytheon Earned Value Management (EVM) Certification

Knowledge of Raytheons Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)

Prior Property Management experience in a government contractor environment a plus

Broad knowledge of Import/Export requirements and hazardous material management

Knowledge of SAP/PRISM software system

Front Line Leadership training and Six Sigma Specialist

Knowledge of the Automated Logistics Computer System (ALCS)

Property Certification


Required Education (including Major):

Requires a related University Degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor's degree = 8 additional years applicable experience)


This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
