Northrop Grumman Systems Sectors is seeking a Manager Material Planning to join our team.

Job Duties:

+ Supports the development and planning of program material requirements with cross functional teams to achieve multiple supply chain objectives
+ Manage a team of Material Planners that control material inventory including controlling excess, insufficient, or deficient materials. This may require working with the customer, Engineering, Program Manager, Buyers, Finance, suppliers, or other external vendors
+ Ensure that material requirements are available to support production schedules by working closely with production planning, buyers, and procurement quality engineers to ensure that the needed material is on time and meets necessary quality requirements through inspection, analysis, and any applicable testing
+ Assist in identifying alternate and/or new materials as needed for IR&D related activities
+ Act as the point of contact for material concerns that impact production including identifying and managing material risks
+ Manages and analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and manage material information planning systems.

+ Supports the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the material planning improvements

**Qualifications:**

Basic Qualifications:

+ BS/BA degree in a Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or Finance and 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience and/or business management **OR** MA in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations and 6+ years' relevant experience
+ 3+ years of leadership experience leading teams
+ Demonstrated experience working solutions with cross functional teams
+ Strong analytic skills as they relate to material planning
+ Proficiency with MRP and scheduling systems (Deltek Costpoint a plus) and in MS Office suite
+ Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization
+ U.S. Citizenship
