Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our Manufacturing Operations Engineering team as a Manufacturing Engineer 2 based out of our McClellan Campus in Northern California. This position focuses on production support for various programs.

**What You'll get to Do:**

+ Design and document sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the assembly or fabrication of parts, tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
+ Perform detailed design tasks using software such as Creo or SolidWorks equivalent to develop and document designs for manufacturing tools, fixtures, etc. Expected to be self-motivated and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems under minimal supervision.
+ Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
+ Facilitating Root Cause & Corrective Action tasks and driving to closure.
+ Recommending and implementing quality improvements.
+ Conducting pre-production Production Readiness Reviews.
+ Provide technical support to Quality to help disposition non-conformance and rework process planning.
+ Demonstrated safety orientation and compliance mindset.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience; Masters Degree with 0 years of experience.
+ Experience in fabrication and assembly.
+ Experience in 3D Modeling and 3D printing.
+ Experience with tolerance stack-up analysis.
+ Fluency in MS Office software applications.
+ Excellent technical writing skills.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Engineering Technology.
+ Knowledge of electronics/electromechanical technology and materials.
+ Familiarity with MIL-STD and IPC Type 3 requirements.
+ Experience with semiconductor device soldering processes.
+ Experience marking systems.
+ Experience with SAP or other manufacturing shop floor systems.
