Essential Functions
A lead person shall have the responsibility to provide technical and operational assistance to employees within a defined team, group or unit, as directed by the lead persons supervisor. A lead person shall not be responsible for hiring, disciplining, terminating or reviewing the performance of employees within an employee team, group or unit.In the absence of the supervisor the designated lead person will be responsible for completing all necessary department production and reports. In addition, the lead person may be responsible for opening or closing the facilities. Any engineering related problems should be reported to the engineering department, while any personnel related issues should be referred to another shift supervisor or the Human Resource Manager.Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
Shared responsibility for finished goods meeting or exceeding customer expectations
Coordinate the activities of an employee team, group, or unit to efficiently meet the production schedule as set forth by customer demand and supervisory direction.
Leadership of QA team when Quality Manager delegates tasks
Possess the ability to make decisions
All stages of inspection: 1st article, in process, final, and receiving.
Designated individual when QA Manager is not present
ATR Maintenance
Quality Systems Maintenance
Operation of Lab equipment
Proper use of Measuring Equipment
Provide monthly metrics to QA Manager (ATR info)
Layered Process Audits
Provide training and instruction to employees new to a department
Provide assistance to employees regarding proper completion of department paperwork
Make periodic quality checks within the department as required by the supervisor
Recommend to the supervisor changes in processes and procedures to improve overall product quality and/or department efficiency
Identify non-conformities relating to product, process, and the quality system
Adhere to quality standards and guidelines. Maintain accurate records
Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
Report quality issues to Plant Quality Manager
Perform work of an equal or lower classification

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, recognizes International Diplomas (may need to be translated to English).
U.S. Citizen or permanent residency status required
Read work orders & specifications.
Basic computer skills
Ability to read and use various measuring devices. (Calipers, Tape, Etc).
Strong ISO knowledge preferred
5 years experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills
Strong LEAN advocate
Able to multitask and prioritize.
Be a team player and safety conscious .
Excellent teamwork skills.
Detail Oriented
Must be competent in basic mathematical and analytical skills, as well as verbal and written communication.
Able to lead by example.Physical & PPE Requirements:
Standing, sitting, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs., walking, squatting, and kneeling. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs (85-90 dB) are all required PPE when working in the mfg plant. All PPE provided by Company.
