Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Manager of Facilities Engineering 3** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in **Palmdale, CA** . The selected candidate will manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy.

**Essential Functions:**

+ Reports to the Palmdale CoE Director of Facilities.

+ Management responsibility for all of the Palmdale CoE facilities sites infrastructure, preventive maintenance, and production equipment maintenance.

+ Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facilities infrastructure and equipment maintenance.

+ Supervises maintenance managers, employees and/or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and infrastructure and equipment via the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, electronics, fire protection systems, production line maintenance technicians, HVAC mechanics, equipment controls programming, remote monitoring systems and/or general maintenance, housekeeping, and landscaping.

+ Collaborates with facilities engineering, projects, and maintenance management teams to propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.

+ Sets priorities and performs forecasting and allocates the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

+ Supervises employees who specify and prepare statements of work to maintain, repair, upgrade and replace facilities infrastructure assets.

+ Administers or coordinates with personnel who administer maintenance and repair contracts and purchase spare parts.

+ Provides status on maintenance metrics performance to leadership.

+ Represents Facilities maintenance organization in site and program functional coordination meetings.

+ Develops requirements and administers budgets, schedules and standards of performance for site maintenance.

+ Work with the larger Facilities Reliability & Infrastructure Optimization team to develop and track performance metrics related to the supervised disciplines (ex. inventory services and materials/services purchased).

+ Responsible for all actions assigned to the organizational unit.

+ Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

+ Acts as an advisor to supervisors and staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical and operational problems.

+ Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

+ Utilizes Maximo computerized maintenance management system to schedule, track and report on infrastructure maintenance, service requests/work orders and trouble calls.
+ Perform functional responsibilities related to day to day management including performance management, career development, and engagement strategy execution.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Master's degree with 5 years' experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7 years' experience in facilities, operations and/or similar industry experience.

+ Leadership experience including managing teams, achieving organization objectives & goals and/or metrics.

+ Experience with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

+ Ability to brief senior level management and executive leadership

+ Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Security Clearance as requested by the business.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master's Degree

+ 3 or more years of leadership experience in a facilities maintenance or operational role managing teams and achieving organization objectives, goals and metrics

+ Experience working in a mission critical facility environment

+ Aerospace industry experience including familiarity with aerospace equipment and manufacturing facilities infrastructure

+ Experience using Maximo and/or other maintenance management system
