Position description
Provides support and backup to the Mortgage and Lending Departments. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and closing of all first mortgage loans. Performs a variety of duties relating to the mortgage lending process. Must be familiar with the Truth-In-Lending Act and Regulation Z, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and HUD’s Regulation X, and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and Regulation C. Answers incoming phone calls and schedules appointments for Mortgage Loan Officers. Focus is on the processing of loan files in preparation of underwriting and the preparation of documentation and coordination of loan closing. Ensures that all activities, functions and relationships are handled in compliance with MEFCU’s mission, goals and standard operating procedures.
Must have the minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent financial institution experience. Prior experience with First Mortgage processing preferred. Must be a self starter, highly organized, efficient, and be able to work independently while balancing a diverse workload. Must have a thorough working knowledge of computers. Successful candidate must possess superior time management and communication skills and is an excellent team player.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $18.76 per hour.

Schedule details
Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Occasional Saturdays as needed.
Weekend schedule
Occasional Saturdays as needed.
