Description Performs as a member of the Nursing Team various duties assisting Staff Nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

- Participates in the nursing process during delivery of patient care.
- Assists in providing nursing care to patients and collects data for assessment of physical, psychological, and social dimensions under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Participates in implementing a formal plan of care for the patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics (information systems).
- Assists in orientation of other personnel to the unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Participates in at least four unit staff meetings per year, attends mandatory programs.
- Adheres to safety, blood/body fluid policies and procedures.
- Assesses personal and learning development needs. Regularly updates knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the age of the patient served.
- Represents hospital in the community and within the hospital by maintaining confidentiality regarding patients and hospital matters and by presenting the hospital in a manner that will best market the services provided.
- Performs other work related duties and activities as assigned or requested by his/her immediate supervisor.

Qualifications: !*!
- Ability to read, write and communication in English
- Must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
- Successful completion a Nursing Assistant Program
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- Successful completion of an EMT Program
- Successful completion of an LPN Program
- Successful completion of at least one year of an accredited Nursing School Program
- Equivalent clinical Military experience
- Current Basic Life Support Certification.
- Successful passage of CPI training within 6 months of hire and must maintain recertification annually.
- Successful passage of the Cape Cod Hospital written competency exam for NAII.
Schedule Details: 16 Hours per week, 7a - 3:15p, rot days, E/O Weekend, rot holidays
