Essential Functions
Attitude:
o Interacts with others in a positive manner to create and sustain a collaborative, respectful work environment
o Works with others to resolve work flow issues in an effort to maintain production demands/takt rate
o Communicates and collaborates effectively with peers, Leads, and site support staff to achieve location Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals

Safety:
o Maintains a safe work environment, identifies and reports potential safety risks, and responds to identified safety or environmental risks with urgency
o Proactively communicates and works to create a culture of awareness of safety
Quality:
o Has a sense of ownership of quality
o Escalates quality issues to Team Leader
o Does not allow poor quality to be passed on
Delivery:
o Understands daily goals and works to meet them in an effective and efficient way, including working overtime hours as required.
Cost:
o Works with Team Leader to keep productivity and skills high
o Is aware of manufacturing costs and works to reduce (scrap, consumable, etc.)
Flexibility:
o Maintains personal work skills as a working member of the team
o Proactively engages in cross-training and job rotation
o Adapts to changing business needs on a daily basis
Reporting:
o Participates in start-of-shift stand-up meeting with team to discuss previous days safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance as well as current days plan
Continuous Improvement:
o Works with team members to improve performance metrics and to maintain a clean and safe workspace
o Learns and utilizes Lean tools applicable to the area being managed (Standard Work, 5S, Error-proofing, Set-Up Reduction, etc.)
o Supports team in effective problem-solving/Drives to root cause solutions
o Responsible for supporting cell audits (5S+Safety, Quality, etc.)
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to successfully perform job functions, as directed, within department
Requires knowledge of company policies and procedures
Effective interpersonal skills are essential for success
Strong attention to detail required
Works with the team for problem solving and decision-making
Displays positive approach working with others in continuous improvement activities
Strong mechanical aptitude requiredMachine Shop Qualifier: Must be able to run equipment, inspect product, and complete Quality-at-the-Source Documents
