Northrop Grumman Office of the CIO has an opening for a Project Manager to lead and direct project teams engaged in the design, implementation, and modification of IT projects across the Melbourne Florida campus. A successful candidate will prepare project execution plans and identify the appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team.

Our successful candidate will:

+ Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meet technical requirements of the assignment.
+ Keep current on advances in the field of IT.
+ Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team and build relationships with the project stakeholders.

This position is a principal (level 3) **Information Systems Project Manager** role within the Aerospace Systems CIO PMO and will be located in **Melbourne, Florida. There is not option to telecommute in this role.**

**Essential Functions:**

+ Lead a multi-disciplined team of IT and Security professionals who are performing upgrades, operations and maintenance support on computing systems which support campus IT infrastructure in a classified and unclassified enterprise environment
+ Use good judgement to pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results
+ Work closely with program-assigned technicians, systems administrators, systems engineers, and management in order ensure the domains, servers, storage and applications stay in a high state of readiness.
+ Maintain a high quality of system efficiency
+ Coordinate with Security and IT resources to ensure government and Cyber/Information Security standards are met.
+ Oversee and manage the quality and timeliness of the organizations products, and identification and remediation of potential issues before they become problems
+ Manage to budgets and schedules and create work assignments for team.
+ Plan and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration, maintenance and updates of hardware and Operating Systems, software elements, and security standards
+ Understand requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
+ Prepare or ensure that appropriate Systems documentation exists, including operational instructions
+ Provide regular monitoring and analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems
+ May coordinate third-party maintenance for servers, systems, and hardware

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant IT experience, or Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant IT experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant IT experience; a High School diploma/GED and 11 years of relevant IT experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
+ Project Management experience with multi-stakeholder projects
+ **US Citizenship will be required for this role and candidates must have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret** level security clearance following hire.
+ Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed and carry a company phone for possible after hours support
+ Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors or Master's degree in Information Technology Management
+ Proven interaction in a distributed team environment
+ Strong understanding of Agile project management
+ Experience with strong team building/collaboration
+ Demonstrate exemplary professionalism and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
+ Previous experience leading a team of 15 - 20 employees with a record of on-time performance
+ Time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilities
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

Salary Range: $90,400.00 - $135,600.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
