As one of the largest services team within Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Windows EC2 team has a simple mandate €“ to make AWS the best and premier cloud for customers to run, optimize and modernize their Windows environment today and into the future! Each day we strive to enhance our technology and programs to help our customers achieve their goals, their objectives and their vision. On our team and in this role, you will be responsible to understand the holistic value of Microsoft workloads, and the central role of Windows Server, SQL Server, Managed Active Directory, our data modernization plans, our ISV partners, and help our customers to grow into modern cloud technologies. Specifically, you will help our customers to modernize their Windows based workloads into modern architectures utilizing technologies such as kubernetes, serverless, OSS databases like Aurora, Open Source components like .NET core, and others. The job is always evolving and ability to work well in ambiguity is key as well. If you thrive in this environment, you will enjoy working on this team.

The right candidate will possess proven product management skills and have product management/marketing experience in large and rapidly growing businesses. You are expected to be versatile and able to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and are able to bring order to ambiguous scenarios. Maturity, high judgment, ability to influence and leadership are essential to success in this role. You are data-driven and analytical. You can clearly & effectively communicate (written as well as verbally) across organizations and up to senior leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Working from the customer, understand their needs and develop messaging, content and enablement to delight our customers and drive adoption.
2. Develop pricing models for new products and features
3. Perform outbound engagement, enablement and product launch activities.
4. Own the strategy to drive growth in existing and new markets.
5. Utilize database technologies to process large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources to perform statistical analysis. Use this data to make recommendations on how to optimize our processes
6. Drive and lead discussions with executives and other communities.
7. Contributes to annual strategy and planning cycle
8. Create product materials, sales/other training and actively participate in the enablement and activation of our various direct and indirect channels
9. Work with Business Development, Sales, Technical and Finance teams to achieve collective goals.
10. Develop or contribute to new product features (PR FAQ) and services to help customers migrate legacy workloads to AWS, or to modernize them to cloud native architectures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. BS/BA degree (Master€™s degree preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business.
2. 8-12 years of demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas: product management, business development, sales or marketing
3. Technical/Analytical ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people and systems in order to invent, simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes
4. Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a complex, ambiguous and fast-paced environment
5. Demonstrable ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects
6. Exceptional writing skills to create narratives, presentations, blogs, white papers.
7. A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
8. Ability to work effectively with cross-organizational teams in an international, diverse and complex organization
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills to positively influence decision making ·
10. Comfortable presenting and interfacing with leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
2. Exceptional project management skills with capacity to manage a large number competing priorities simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
3. Excellent analytical skills with ability to provide big picture insights from highly granular data
4. Strong knowledge of Windows server, SQL Server, Linux, Containers/Kubernetes, Serverless, .NET framework.
5. MBA from a top institution
6. M&A or Consulting background
7. Experience with OEM licensing
