**Principal Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst**

Adaptive Optics Associates-Xinetics (AOA Xinetics), a wholly-owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division Business Venture, is currently seeking a Principal Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst to support business activities in Devens MA.

AOA Xinetics (AOX) designs, develops, and manufactures precision, advanced optical products and systems such as deformable mirrors, optical systems, adaptive optics control systems and silicon carbide optical structures for the U.S. Government, commercial customers, and U.S. defense prime and second-tier contractors. Markets for these technologies include civilian astronomy and semiconductor capital equipment as well as defense ISR and Directed Energy. Several potential direct and adjacent application areas also exist.

AOX delivers industrial photonics systems and development services for a variety of customers and applications. AOX excels in a range of applications from adaptive optical systems, deformable mirrors, wavefront sensors, precision actuators, to photonic systems that acquire and process data in real time for a variety of high availability applications. AOX's capabilities include lightweight passive and active hybrid CERAFORM/CERAPRINT silicon carbide optics and precision structures as well as large and small precision opto-mechanical systems supporting electronics and sophisticated controls software.

**Overview**
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Principal Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst will assist with the creation and use of resource loaded detailed schedules with identified critical paths & milestones, management reserve and planned and mitigated programs risks; ensure projects and program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality; support risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts, and use Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. The purpose of the role is to increase visibility into overall program performance and identify actions to mitigate and improve program schedule performance.

**Responsibilities**

+ Support Planning Manager and Program Managers with driving program execution through critical path identification, slack analysis, assessment of risk (including opportunity identification and schedule margin planning), generating prospective analyses and providing robust/actionable performance reporting to support and drive program management understanding and action
+ Identify potential resource constraints such as resource over allocation for management to address. Includes collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and quality to understand the impact of each organization on program execution and use that information to provide actionable, value added solutions to the Xinetics Business Area Manager and Lead Planner
+ Create proposal schedules & support the identification of business risks as part of the proposal review process
+ Assist in the development of standard work breakdown structures and resource loaded schedules
+ Support the maintenance of the Planning Department's resource management tool
+ Working with the respective Program Manager, include Material Review Board (i.e. MRB) action plans in related program schedules so to identify impact to respective program schedules
+ Collaboratively work with MA Manufacturing/Production Leadership to communicate production and program schedule requirements
+ Customer-facing responsibilities as it relates to Program Schedules; (i) may lead briefings and schedule review meetings with external customers; (ii) communicate schedule variances; (iii) perform schedule impact analyses related to change requests which is then communicated to the customers as part of company response to change requests
+ Provide new program start up assistance to support and ensure compliance to standards
+ Support the establishment and promotion of planning standards to ensure schedule consistency on all development and production programs

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business
+ 6+ years' of experience in a planning, scheduling or project related analytical role within a high tech manufacturing and/or Aerospace or Defense industry work environment
+ Working knowledge of Defense Industry Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guidelines (PASEG)
+ Basic understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) project management methodologies (e.g. ANSI EIA-748-D EVMS) and DoD Data Instruction Description (e.g. IPMR DI-MFMT-81861A)
+ Experience with developing and maintaining project schedules and supporting the development of and implementing planning policies, processes and procedures
+ Strong understanding of Critical Path methodologies, analysis and reporting
+ Familiar with schedule risk analysis
+ Intermediate MS Office proficiency with working knowledge of exporting Excel data, Pivot Tables and creating Power Point productivity metric charts
+ Intermediate-Advanced MS Project, OnePager Pro, WBS Schedule Pro, DCMA Schedule Analyzer, etc. (or similar Project/EVM related software)
+ Demonstrated ability to interface with internal/external stakeholders
+ Excellent verbal and communication skills, self-starter, strong organizational and time management skills
+ U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for employment

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Advanced MS Office proficiency with exporting excel data and creating Pivot Tables
