Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking an experienced **Principal / Sr. Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst** for its location in **Mesa, Arizona.** This position will report to the Manager of International Trade Compliance (ITC) in **Mesa, AZ.**

The International Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. export and import control laws and regulations, applying for all necessary export and import authorizations, providing training to employees and guidance/interpretation of the international trade compliance regulations.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Works with various functional areas to determine their export/import needs, and develops and implements appropriate strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies
+ Prepares and submits necessary export/import authorization requests such as a DSP-5, DSP-73, DSP-61, TAA, MLA, or WDA required to support international programs within Defense Systems
+ Provides guidance and interpretation of U.S. government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), Anti-boycott Regulations, and U.S. Census and Customs Regulations
+ Assists in the development and implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures, such as internal control plans for approved authorizations
+ Manages all post approval activities such as recordkeeping, reporting requirements, approvals for data exports, and international shipping authorizations
+ Performs compliance assessments of license and agreement files and assists as necessary in any investigations of potential compliance violations
+ Supports and implements corrective actions that result from export/import compliance violations
+ Prepares and delivers export and import internal control plans and proviso reviews to programs
+ Conduct export/import training and provide formal and informal communication/guidance to internal and external customers regarding all conditions of the export and import authorizations
+ Assist in the review of export and import clauses in international new business contracts and provide recommendations
+ Review of program contractual statements of work to assist in the development of the work scope for each export/import authorization
+ Make formal presentations in meetings, training environments and respond to questions from management, employees, customers and vendors related to export/import compliance
+ Negotiate export/import control issues with internal and external customers and resolve issues in a win/win manner

**Qualifications:**

**This position may be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal level.**

**Basic Qualifications for Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst:**

+ Must have one of the following:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of export/import, regulatory, or compliance experience
+ Master's degree in business, finance, law, or a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of export/import, regulatory, or compliance experience
+ Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, BATFE, and other US Government Regulations
+ Significant experience in writing agreements: TAAs, MLAs, WDAs as well as export license applications
+ Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time), and may be required to travel internationally
+ Must be able to work on-site in Mesa, Arizona

+ Must have one of the following:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of export/import, regulatory, or compliance experience
+ Master's degree in business, finance, law, or a related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of export/import, regulatory, or compliance experience
+ Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, BATFE, and other US Government Regulations
+ Significant experience in writing agreements: TAAs, MLAs, WDAs as well as export license applications
+ Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time), and may be required to travel internationally
+ Must be able to work on-site in Mesa, Arizona

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Advanced degree and/or Aerospace or Defense industry experience
+ Proficient in the use of the OCR EASE/EEMS Software
+ An active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize varied workload
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Strong ability to work independently as well as with teams
+ Strong collaboration and team building skills
+ Demonstrated experience building and maintaining excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers
