**Northrop Grumman Defense Systems** in **Northridge, CA** is currently seeking a **Principal / Sr. Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist** to support our AARGM-ER efforts.

In this role, the selected candidate will (but not be limited to):
Sourcing and procuring high value electronic commodities including PCBA's, cable harnesses, and other complex assemblies on development and production programs.
Proficiency in the procurement process, including but not limited to price analysis, negotiations, policies and procedures, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Ability to place and oversee high dollar and very complex procurement packages
Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.
Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
Review, reconcile and approve supplier payments
Interfacing and collaborating with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain
Ability to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objective
Person should possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized
The preferred candidate must have knowledge and be proficient in the procurement process, as well as an understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The Analyst should also possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized, as well as being an Excel power user.

**This position can be filled at either the Principal (A03) or Sr. Principal (A04) level. BQs for each level are listed below.**

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications for a Principal (A03) are:**
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Six (6) years of related procurement/buyer experience.
Extensive Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

**Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal (A04) are:**
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Ten (10) years of related procurement/buyer experience OR 8 years of procurement experience with a Master's Degree.
Extensive Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
Current/active Secret clearance.
Masters' Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
Procurement experience in Government environment.
Experience with consulting and service orders.
LEAN or Process Improvement certification.
Experience in Supplier Management.
Knowledge and proficiency in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
