AB represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high interest for Amazon. In just about a year following our launch in April 2015, we have surpassed a billion dollars in revenue and continue to grow very rapidly. We are focused on building solutions that enable B2B customers to find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between). Our B2B customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer so we are reinventing everything from how we display our selection to how we deliver products to them.

With the rapid growth of AB to a several billion dollar business, we are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to accelerate AB's strategic roadmap for Bulk Purchasing and Ordering. This leader will tackle one of our most significant opportunities.

Amazon has innovated in ultra-fast delivery for our customers, and we now have millions of products available for next-day, same-day or 1-2 hour (Prime Now) delivery. Our B2B customers are clamoring for a similar level of experience for their bulk purchases, from finding products, figuring out the savings they get out of them, having them delivered in a way that is most convenient to them and everything in between.
Specifically, this leader will:
€¢ Work across several technical teams in Amazon to define the changes required to support the requirements of business customers to order items from Amazon in large quantities.
€¢ Partner with UX-Research, Voice of customer, and global Sales teams in collating customer requirements and feedback for solutions proposed.
€¢ Partner with technical teams in Amazon to propose a technical solutions to meet the requirements.
€¢ Drive the technical design across these technical teams, come up with a roadmap of technical features to be delivered for the solution and lead the overall solution delivery.
€¢ Work with senior technical leaders across these teams to drive consensus on technical choices, and and ensure that the solution being built is scalable and easy to maintain in the long run.
€¢ Work with Go-to-market teams globally to define the roll out strategy as the foundational capabilities (tech, CX and operations) get built incrementally within Amazon.


· BS in computer science, electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
· Minimum of 10 years overall experience in software engineering, software development management, technical program/project management, or a related technical field required with at least 3 years of focused TPM experience
· Experience delivering software features and applications


· MBA or Advanced Technical Degree
· Experience delivering software using an agile development process.
· Experience building solutions in distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
· Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presentation skills
· Ability to analyze business requirements, write specifications, scope technical requirements, manage multiple software development efforts, drive rigorous testing, and coordinate product launch.
€¢ Ability to engage multiple technical teams to drive consistent expectations towards a shared goal
€¢ Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
