SAIC has an immediate opening for a Program Analyst to support the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Office of Executive Services (AF/A10E) with Workforce Development. Work will be performed at the Arlington, VA area with the possibility for telework. The candidate will advise AF/A10E on civilian strategic human capital planning, with consideration to manpower allocations, resources, and DoD/Air Force policies, to recruit and retain a highly qualified cadre of Air Force civilian employees to meet AF/A10’s current and future mission needs. The qualified candidate should be familiar with DoD and Air Force civilian workforce policy and processes.

Duties Include:

  • Support AF/A10E with establishing effective programs and procedures for use in planning, employing, retaining, monitoring, developing, evaluating, and rewarding individual and organizational performance
  • Assist in improving the skills and competencies to build the capability and capacity of the nuclear and CWMD workforce
  • Support workforce education, training and career development programs
  • Provide technical expertise for research related to human capital development
  • Coordinate review of reports and formal coordination packages produced for high level executives and organizations


Education & Experience 
  • Bachelors in a Technical or Business field and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft  Office Products to collect metrics, conduct workforce data analysis, and present information
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, planning, and briefing material for senior leadership
  • Familiar with DoD and Air Force Workforce policies and activities
  • Prior Service-level personnel experience desired
  • Familiarity with DoD and Air Force Workforce Policies, including Air Force Policy Directive 36-1, and Air Force Manual 36-203
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate at the Government Service (GS) 15 grade and Senior Executive Service (SES) levels as a key member of a joint Government/Contractor team
  • Applicants selected for this position will require an active DoD Secret clearance, and background screening. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information
  • Active Secret clearance
