DESCRIPTION

Amazon Prime Video is disrupting the traditional television and movie industry with a massive library of high-quality media and reliable digital delivery. We offer customers the greatest choice in what to watch, from popular Amazon Original TV Shows and Movies (made by Amazon Studios, such as Carnival Row, Tom Clancy€™s Jack Ryan, Golden Globe winning The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Oscar-winning Manchester by the Sea), to TV shows exclusively available for Prime members in each country (such as American Gods, MR ROBOT and Outlander), Live Sport (such as ATP, US Open and Premier League games), and access to 60+ Channels (like Discovery, Starz, Eurosport and hayu).

Today, we operate in 200+ countries. As part of this global presence, the Prime Video International (PVI) team owns building new technology tools that can deliver a fully localized user experience to our growing base of international customers. Specifically, the Marketing Asset Technology team within PVI owns the product vision and roadmap for our central Design tool that allows the standardization and automated production of localized marketing assets at scale, across all content type, and across the 20+ languages that we support. This tool is used by our Design and Marketing teams to market and advertise our content to customers in their local language.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager who shares Amazon€™s passion for delivering great video experiences to our growing international base of customers. As a Senior Technical Product Manager in the Marketing Asset Technology Team, you will be deeply involved in defining the short and long term product vision, strategy and roadmap for new technology tools that can scale to deliver marketing localization. You will work directly with our dedicated engineering team to architect and build these tools. Because we are building these tools for the first time, you will be responsible to communicate the business and technical requirements to our engineering team, work with them to assess different system designs, and make trade-off decisions and simplifications as needed to meet your customer use cases. As you are rolling out these tools, you will organize beta testing and demo sessions to iterate and constantly improve the product in anticipation of your launch. As such, you will own the product end-to-end, from initial conception through launching it globally.

A successful candidate will be highly customer-focused, team-oriented but with an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines, and able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization. Successful candidates will also have strong technical skills and will be able to directly interface with and drive the work of engineering teams, consult with them on issues of design, and go hands-on with their technologies to understand the problems you're solving. Written and verbal communication in this role are also critical: you will author narratives that will be consumed by Amazonians at all levels, including executive leadership.

This role can be based in London or in Seattle.
