Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Principal CAD/CAM Engineer to support the Sustainment and Modification of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program, based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

**What You'll get to Do:**

+ Conduct research across multiple engineering disciplines and collaborate with engineers to plan, design, develop, and document system upgrades and modifications.
+ W ork in an agile environment as it moves through the system lifecycle phases of development, testing, and deployment. The candidate will be expected to utilize agile practices to complete assignments.
+ Adhere to documentation standards and utilize best practices to deliver high quality products
+ Use CAD and other graphic software to develop and revise specifications, detail drawings, assembly drawings and associated parts lists, electrical diagrams, and technical order illustrations in accordance with company, industry, and military standards.
+ Utilize techniques best suited to produce desired visual effects in conformance with established standards and specified reproduction medium.
+ Coordinate and maintain stringent delivery schedules.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's with 3 years of relevant experience; PhD with 0 years of relevant experience; Associates degree with 7 years experience; 9 years of relevant experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
+ Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office application
+ Ability to apply drafting standards, principles, symbols, and engineering terms.
+ Ability to visualize product and develop drawings, illustrations, and 3D models.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications and other written or verbal instructions.
+ Experience with formal engineering lifecycle processes and agile methodology.
+ U.S. Citizen with an interim DoD Secret security clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors degree in engineering or technically related field.
+ Active DoD Secret clearance
+ Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
+ Experience using Creo, Solidworks, or equivalent 3D CAD software.
+ Experience in USAF/DoD radar systems.
+ Experience with USAF Technical Orders.
+ Demonstrates the skill and ability to work independently and perform tasks in both an isolated and team environment.
