Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Sr Principal Engineer Systems based out of Colorado Springs, CO. This position will serve on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program, focused on the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) and specifically Agile development activities.

**What You'll Get to Do:**

+ Play an active, leading role on one of several teams providing analysis and oversight to the implementation of cybersecurity, supportability and new capability updates to the BPP
+ Support scope and requirements definition
+ Support system requirements reviews and creating and/or updating requirement specifications and technical documentation
+ Generate, review, and update systems engineering documentation and collaborate with radar subject matter experts to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment and be a self-starter, efficient in achieving goals and proactive in pursuing subsequent tasks.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of systems engineering experience; or 7 years' experience with a Master's degree; or 4 years with PhD.
+ Interim DoD Secret clearance
+ Familiarity or experience with Agile software development methodologies, i.e. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
+ Experience in using a requirements management tool, such as DOORS
+ Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Active DoD Secret clearance
+ Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) or other ground-based radars such as the Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
+ Active Security + Certification
+ Familiarity or experience with test automation
+ Familiarity or experience in using a discrepancy management tool, such as Jira
+ Familiarity or experience with continuous integration and deployment environments and tools such as Bamboo
+ Familiarity or experience with version control tools such as Bitbucket
+ Familiarity or experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
