Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Spacecraft Operations Manager 1 to support a program in the Colorado Region. The position can be located in Aurora, Boulder, or Colorado Springs with up to 25% travel to these site locations.

**What You'll get to Do:**

+ Responsible for overall success of ongoing satellite operations missions, including flight and mission safety.
+ Analyses and forecasts division or group resource needs for satellite operations.
+ Ensures that properly trained, certified resources are available.
+ Interface with external agencies to negotiate usage of ground-based assets across multiple satellite missions.
+ Work with business development to investigate mission and mission operations opportunities.
+ Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of technical products, programs and systems.
+ Provides expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshoots product and modifies product to customer requirements.
+ Provides training to customers.
+ Work may be done at customer site.
+ Includes software systems and programs designed for customers (corporate and individual) and government entities.
+ Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs).
+ Responsibilities may include: cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract.
+ Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs.

**Qualifications:**

B **asic Qualifications:**

+ Education/Experience: Bachelor's with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's with 3 years of relevant experience; PhD + 0 years of experience
+ Active JPAS Top Secret/SCI clearance
+ Leadership and management experience supporting satellite operations & maintenance, design, or testing
+ Willing and able to support work on a military installation in a 24/7 operational environment

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's within a STEM related discipline
+ Experience leading technical projects
+ Ground communication systems from the architectural level to the field implementation level
+ Strong understanding of satellite systems operations/functions and associated internal and external system interfaces
+ Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills working with senior program customers as well as military customers
+ System Integration experience and knowledge of space ground systems
