Raytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer II, Power/Analog in the Advanced Electro-optics Department. The selected candidate will perform design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of power, analog, control, mixed-signal or electro-mechanical drive electronics for military electro-optic applications. This position will function in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects and the candidate will be expected to apply rigorous and systematic design processes to ensure total design compliance. Other duties will include interfacing and collaborating with engineers and performing related parallel tasks. The selected candidate will have oversight of design product requirements, technical risk assessments, product design effort estimating and scheduling. This position is located in McKinney, TX.


Required Skills:




+ Minimum of 6 years of experience with a Bachelors degree, 4 years with a Masters degree or 2 years with a PhD


+ Hands-on experience working with power, analog, control, mixed-signal or electro-mechanical drive electronics for energy conversion systems


+ Experience with designing and testing of power, analog, control or electro-mechanical drive electronics for energy conversion systems


+ U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date


Desired Skills:




+ Experience with SPICE, SabreRD or Simulink


+ Experience with schematic capture, PCB tools and layout of designs


+ Experience with moving from initial concept to architecture then design


+ Experience simulating and modeling of electronic, magnetic or electro-mechanical designs and systems


+ Knowledge of the Mentor Expedition/DxDesigner schematic capture/PCB Layout tools


+ Analysis tools such as MATLAB, MATHCAD, Ansoft Maxwell and PExpert, Hyperlinx PI and SI


+ Mixed-signal control design, components, and Firmware development tools


+ Working knowledge of EMI/EMC design and abatement


+ Experience generating requirements and requirement documents, preforming requirements analysis and tolerance/error allocations


+ Experience developing test plans, procedures and test solutions


+ Able to work independently and in collaboration with multi-discipline teaming environment


+ Active U.S. Secret Security clearance


+ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools




Required Education:




+ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent


Desired Education:




+ Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
