Raytheon Global Enterprise Services (GES) has an opening for a Senior Facility Space Planner.
Global Enterprise Services is a shared service provider that collaborates with Raytheon businesses, functions, and programs to deliver world class, customer focused solutions in facilities operation, maintenance and, engineering; space utilization/optimization; and real-estate management.
The Space Planner supports the Aurora, CO campus and other South region locations as needed.

The primary focus of this position is facility planning, space management, move management and tracking of all personnel on site.
Planners are the primary customer contact and designers for projects.
The Planner validates project scope and schedule, and develops detailed design layouts and concepts.
In addition, Planners coordinate moves of people and equipment out of and into project areas including multiple phases, develops disposition plan for areas to be cleared or vacated, and plans for all support equipment and items customers need in their areas.
They are also responsible for coordinating with outside furniture contractors for all furniture reconfiguration projects and work tickets, to include defining scope and furniture specifications, requesting quotes, scheduling work, etc.

Job Description:

+ Support customer space requests while upholding Company space guidelines.

+ Support site engagement with business units to capture headcount changes and business unit office space and lab space forecasts.

+ Conducts scope review meeting with strategies, customer and project manager.

+ Validates planned area/sizes.

+ Works with project manager to develop project scope, schedule, and cost estimates.

+ Works with project team to ensure accuracy of existing planning layouts in preparation for new work.

+ Works with customer to develop equipment list and employee move list.

+ Develops detailed space plans and layouts including move plans.
Reviews plans with customer.

+ Creates 3-D design development models for appropriate projects.

+ Develops room/cube numbering plan.

+ Support updates to AutoCAD data, polyline drawing files and as-built construction data.

+ Performs detailed move analysis.

+ Leads integrated move team and large move only projects.

+ Develops disposition plan for furniture and equipment.

+ Manage and coordinate CAFM data accuracy through field verifications for occupancy, surveys, human resource reports and client input.

+ Assists project manager with planning portion of design reviews.

+ Ensures that project furniture, finishes, and space plans adhere to RTX standards.

+ Coordinates furniture reconfigurations and work tickets with outside contractor and internal customers.

+ Supervise, direct, and escort outside furniture and move vendors.

+ Performs periodic space audits to ensure accuracy of occupancy data, furniture layout, and room configurations.

+ Provide rough order magnitude cost and schedule estimates and coordinating the completion of formal estimates with other company service providers (Facilities, IT, Security, etc.) as well as suppliers.

+ Helps develop space planning strategies for the campus.

+ Coordinates projects, moves, etc. with other planners for the site.

+ Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

+ Leads internal teams/task forces.

+ Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

+ Bachelor's Degree and Minimum 4+ years experience in facilities planning or furniture/interior project management or design.

+ Proficiency with AutoCAD.

+ Proficiency with CAFM/IWMS systems (Archibus, IBM/Tririga, etc.).

+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.

+ Understanding and application of government and site building codes and regulations.

+ Experienced in managing/overseeing multiple projects.

+ Strong written and oral communication skills.

+ This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:

+ Project management certification (such as PMP, CAPM, or PgMP)

+ Knowledge of multiple furniture lines.

+ Experience and/or training in reading construction drawings and specifications.

+ Familiarity with classified and secured work environments.

+ Familiarity with IFMA and ANSI/BOMA standards.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Industrial Engineering or Facilities or related degree
