The Team
Amazon Stores is a unique extension of that focuses on in-person shopping experiences through our retail stores. We are passionate about creating a shopping experience that customers love. Our field HR team provides support for store-based leaders and employees across the entire Amazon Stores portfolio, including Amazon Books, Amazon 4-star, Amazon Go, and more. Our goal is to design and implement people practices that are scalable for our growing business. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our HR team as a Sr. HR Assistant.

The Role
The Sr. HR Assistant provides hands-on HR support to our Associates, Store Managers, and HR Business Partners in retail stores. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. You will promote positive employee relations through identifying trends, evaluating data and anecdotes, resolving defects, and leveraging employee feedback to recommend improvements. Your work will result in engaged associates, informed managers, and a positive store culture.

A successful candidate will:
· Support associates and managers with day-to-day HR questions, needs, and inquiries related to time and attendance, benefits, LOA, etc., providing world-class service and ensuring you guide our teams to the right resources to ensure a quality and timely solution.
· Produce and analyze reports to identify talent trends including attendance and attrition, measure effectiveness of initiatives, and create action items as well as partner with Operations and HR Business Partners to drive implementation and impact.
· Utilize HRIS and time and attendance systems for data entry, modification, reporting, and auditing to ensure our employee data is defect-free. When defects arise, you help to resolve.
· Assist with New Hire Orientations, internal recruitment, and associate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth Day 1 for each new store associate.
· Partner with HR Business Partners to help ensure our processes around talent remain top notch, assisting with quarterly and annual talent planning processes, systems, and tools.
· Be a point of contact for employee concerns. Ensure you use the right judgement to escalate, while ensuring we remain connected to the person and the issue. Partner with the HR Business Partners to appropriately address concerns, participating in HR investigations and helping to ensure we drive to the right resolution as needed.
· Support the team with administrative functions such as managing the team e-mail box, calendar management, and event support.

Shift flexibility including overtime, holidays and weekends* (*Amazon Operations and is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs.)


· A completed Bachelor€™s Degree from an accredited university, or 2 years of Amazon experience


· Degree in HR, Business, Labor Relations, or a related field.
· 3+ years of exposure to Human Resource functions
· Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
· Experience with PeopleSoft/HRIS and Kronos/timekeeping systems
