The Starbucks experience starts in our Manufacturing Plants where we have a dedicated team of professionals including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, soluble process, maintenance, engineering, and logistics.



This position contributes to Starbucks success by focusing on process optimization. Focus is on assignments and projects that develop technology and innovate to enhance productivity and capacity of the soluble coffee manufacturing process.



**As a sr process engineer, you will:**



+ Assess the benefits of new engineering technology and improved methods for manufacturing operations. Integrate engineering principles and resolves technical obstacles for specific process challenges.

+ Apply logic in problem-solving and analysis of alternatives to assess the financial and operations impact of business initiatives. Assess critical information to make effective decisions or recommendations.

+ Develop and implement engineering designs in specific technical functions to improve efficiencies, increase capacity and reduce costs. Build consensus across functions (operations, maintenance, and engineering) on complex projects and initiatives.

+ Perform general plant process engineering work.

+ Promote development of strong working relationships. Work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, quality, and engineering.

+ Develop and implement advanced processes to measure, analyze and improve equipment performance and communicate prioritization of plant performance improvement projects.

+ Collaborate with and coach maintenance and operations partners to optimize process control systems, constantly incorporating new knowledge that has been developed to improve performance.

+ Frequently use data historian to identify trends related to process health and stability.



**Wed love to hear from people with:**



+ Chemical Engineering (3 years)

+ Engineering design and implementation in particular area of specialization (5 years)

+ Performance metrics development and root cause analysis (5 years)

+ Strategic planning

+ Consumer products or food company and plant experience, either technical or production
