Can you lead large cross-functional teams to launch regulated hazardous materials storage compliance projects and initiatives? Are you comfortable digging into business requirements and collaborating with business and technical teams to launch new capabilities improving the customer experience? Do you have experience launching new initiatives with high-level stakeholders? Our Worldwide Environmental Assurance & Protection team is looking for a Sr Program Manager to plan and execute large-scale global programs across Amazon teams.

This role requires working with different business owners across organizations to define the strategy, requirements, and timelines as well as lead different cross-functional teams. This position involves regular communication with senior management team on roadmaps, program updates, risks, and change management. This role must also act as a subject matter expert in the storage of regulated hazardous materials. Cross-team coordination, program management, and effective communication skills are essential.

Qualified candidate have 6 or more years of relevant work experience in project management in a cross-functional environment with a solid background in regulated hazardous material storage or compliance program background. This is a global role and therefore experience in a global setting is preferred.

Deliverables/Scope:
· Identify and lead regulated hazardous materials storage improvement projects to drive towards a best in class regulated hazardous materials compliance program.
· Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/processes by understanding product attributes to generate action
· Provide end-to-end regulated hazardous materials storage compliance project management support and guidance for business projects and initiatives.
· Work cross functionally with our risk management, real estate, engineering, business and software teams to ensure regulated hazardous materials storage compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery.
· Identify regulatory risks in new products and services and provide guidance for risk mitigations.
· Interpret new regulations or changing regulations related to regulated hazardous materials storage, construction codes, segregation of materials, drainage and containment, fire protection, ventilation, and electrical requirements to determine how it applies to the business
· Support new business initiatives to ensure regulated hazardous materials storage compliance.
· Develop and maintain solid relationships with retail, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) and fulfillment center partners to capture and remediate concerns

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree
· 6 years of project management experience
· Experience with regulated hazardous materials or other compliance experience
· Familiarity with DOT, ADR, CLP, GHS and Fire and Defense Laws
· Experience driving process improvement with technology
· Experience in fire prevention and fire protection design requirements for storage of hazardous materials in warehousing operations
· Experience implementing hazardous material storage solutions compliant with NFPA, FM Global, IFC, IBC, and other fire protection and building codes and standards, particularly NFPA30 and NFPA30B
· Experience and familiarity interpreting and applying requirements of global fire and buildings codes, within Asia, Europe, and the Americas
· Experience dissecting chemical attributes of products that are key to determining storage and infrastructure requirements (construction, fire sprinklers, ventilation, electrical ratings, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Science
· MBA, Ph.D or related advanced degree
· Certification and experience in dangerous goods or regulated hazardous materials compliance
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Exceptional organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and autonomously
· Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
· Accomplished range of skills from high-level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
· Experience in a global role of a similar nature
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
