The Real Estate Research Manager is responsible developing the strategic plans to grow Amazon€™s physical store footprint. They will work with business leaders to execute on short- and long-term strategies; work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business needs are being achieved; and own the holistic growth plans for the concept. The position will report to the Head of Real Estate.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement the framework for real estate expansion planning; create and maintain expansion plans for individual regions
· Conduct market research, understand and track market trends (real estate market, new developments, corporate restructurings, competitor performance, areas with entitlement concern)
· Evaluate and score individual trade areas; establish expansion plan by identifying targeted trade areas and specific locations
· Gain cross-functional alignment for expansion plans from key stakeholders
· Partner with Real Estate Managers and brokers on expansion plan evolution and addition/removal of targeted trade areas
· Drive completion of trade area opportunity analysis by brokers/REM
· Effectively communicate ongoing changes to plans to key business partners €“ both internal and external
· Manage third-party consultants
