As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will provide exceptional leadership & management needs for our global team of Systems Engineers. You will possess a wealth of experience in leading technical teams, be highly motivated, enthusiastic, have an inquisitive mind, and able to operate in an ambiguous world. You will be responsible for the implementation and creation of automated operational artifacts to codify operational activities. This is a high visibility role, and the successful candidate will ensure the delivery of world class automation to meet our fast paced business needs. You have a passion for Operational excellence and developing innovative solution to automate and optimize operational practices for the enterprise. You will have a love for technology and drive operational excellence, to provide our customers with an exceptional experience and service. You will work hand-in-hand with senior stakeholders on opportunities to improve our operational practices. You will work across customer organizations and multiple AWS teams to ensure customers€™ are delivered exceptional service that continually to raises the bar.

You will constantly seek out new ideas and technologies that you can use to deliver a higher quality service. You will be the person people seek out as a resource to solve difficult problems. Possessing customer facing skills will enable you to drive discussions with senior personnel regarding incidents, trade-offs, best practices, and risk management. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

You have strong project & product management experience. The successful candidate will create product roadmaps for the team. This will include helping innovate and invent new value-add services layered on top of our existing services. You will need excellent technical project management skills to deliver product roadmap items as well as other cross-team projects. Experience with Agile methodologies is an advantage.

A few Key Responsibilities include:

· Drive operational quality and optimization through the development and deployment of automated applications are used by the Datacenter Operations Organization.
· Tackle difficult operational problems and help establish technical business requirements.
· Define and Execute Business Priorities - You will be a key contributor and owner of the direction for your operations. This includes defining strategic goals for the team. You will be participating in defining, planning, and documenting key projects and initiatives. You will be tracking the progress of initiative outcomes against goals and ensuring that the team remains unblocked and focused.
· Team and Performance development - You will own all facets of performance and career management for the team. You will be expected to mentor all members in order to maintain a well-rounded, world class organization. This includes project management, quality audits and coordination of training sessions as well as day to day oversight of the team. You will own and be accountable for the output and performance of your team.
· Recruit and Hire - You will take the lead in hiring quality personnel who not only fit the needs of the current organization but will allow the team to scale with our customer and service growth.


· Bachelor€™s degree with a technical discipline or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of system development experience in a related industry, including hands-on management of a consumer device or software launch experience
· 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Systems/Software Development Manager
· 5+ years of experience working with globally disbursed engineering teams to deliver software requiring coordination between hardware, software teams and operations
· 5+ years of demonstrable experience in project management and coordinating/driving release schedules


· Master€™s or advanced technical degree
· Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and scaling strategies
· Proven ability to concisely communicate with an executive audience in both written and verbal communications
· Experience working in an Agile environment
· Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
· Strong written and verbal English communications skills
· Excellent technical, problem-solving and partnering skills
· Experience in Quality Assurance / Robotic Process Automation
