Description Orient, teach, support, coach, counsel, evaluate, and serve as role model for newly hired RNs and LPNs in the acute care setting.

- Facilitate and assist new to practice RNs and LPNs transitioning to the acute care setting to meet essential job requirements and follow best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Participates in continuing education activities as a subject matter expert
- Demonstrates professional development leadership in nursing practice, concepts, principles, and interventions
- Conducts and manages multiple educational programs for varied audiences while adhering to a high standard of customer service
- Collaborates with management to ensure ongoing educational needs are met
- Develops strategies and processes to support education systems
- Provides clinical instruction to staff for competency development
- Provides orientation to new clinical and transition staff
- Evaluates staff performance as well as assist in the development of remedial employees as requested by management
- Participates in quality patient care indicators
- Adheres to all patient safety and blood & body fluid precautions
- Provides guidance and recommendations on curricula and learning systems where indicated
- Exemplifies a high standard of customer service
- Participates as well as plans activities that further professional growth for self and other clinical staff
- Responsible for maintaining an advanced understanding of departmental and healthcare system programs as well as upkeep of programs
- Demonstrates proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics
- Engages in projects and other functions upon request.
- Challenges current working practices; identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization’s culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.
Qualifications: !*!
- Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- BSN preferred.
- Recent (within 3 years) acute healthcare nursing experience
- Experience and proficiency using electronic medical record
- Clinical Education experience preferred
- Maintain BLS certification
- Maintain certifications appropriate to assigned clinical areas
- ACLS preferred
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Challenge Exam
- Medical-Surgical Certification preferred
Schedule Details: TEMP, 24/32 flex hours per week, 7a-3:30p, Monday-Friday, occ. weekends and rot. holidays
