Position Details:
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service when working with staff.
  • Perform a wide variety of scheduling including duties such as typing, filing, copying, message taking.
  • Following of information through the hospital while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. 
  • Work closely with the departments in the staffing and payroll process. 
  • Prepares regular staffing schedules for nursing staff and posts to schedule no less than two weeks prior to the start of the schedule.
  • Communicates schedule changes and other pertinent information to management and staff in a timely manner.
  • Serves as the central contact person for the nursing department for call-offs, schedule changes, PTO schedule.
  • Ensures coverage for both planned and unplanned schedule changes. Notifies appropriate management of discrepancies in staffing in a timely manner.
  • Monitors employee hours to minimize overtime.
  • Enters schedules/schedule changes into the payroll system.
  • Works with payroll to manage time entry to ensure proper and timely pay.
  • Works with management to maximize efficiencies in scheduling for the department.
  • Educates current and new staff on scheduling, communication methods, and processes.  For example, requesting time off, schedule changes, picking up shifts, holiday scheduling, etc.
  • Provides additional support to the hospital as directed.
  • High School diploma, GED or combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred
  • Previous Talent Tracker Experience preferred
  • Previous Staffing Scheduling Experience
  • Previous Payroll Experience a plus
